Dean and The Tower Group have had a productive, ongoing working relationship for over 18 years. Our philosophies match, as we believe in proactive, future oriented planning using past experience effectively in decision making as a team. We value Dean's ability to explain the applicability of complex tax and financial concepts in a simple way to our clients.

Dean was formerly the Controller for Stride Management, a Calgary based marketing firm that specializes in not for profit fundraising such as managing and audit for charitable lotteries. Not only was he an accountant for the Corporation, but also for individual clients, where he began to build his book of business with The Tower Group. Prior to joining Stride Management in 1998, Dean was a Senior Auditor for the Canadian Customs and Revenue Agency in the tax avoidance department for 8 years. We are glad he came back from the "dark side". Dean leverages his unique strengths along with his academic knowledge and work experience to contribute to our team effort inside the Wealth Creation System^TM, helping clients piece together the tax effectiveness of their plan, and a meticulous way to work your business so you can take more home than you pay to the government.

Dean grew up in Medicine Hat and has lived in Calgary for 30 years, obtaining his degree in Commerce (accounting) at the University of Calgary. Family priorities were the core reason Dean made a transition into running his own practice and dealing with The Tower Group’s Wealth Creation clients. The name "J & N" came from Jacob and Nancy, his rambunctious twins. In his spare time Dean loves reading, enjoys camping and riding his Harley Davidson bike with his wife Naomi.
